Harrisburg Inspiring Connections Outdoors featured in nonprofit video

January 29, 2017

We’re excited to announce the completion of the nonprofit video we produced for Harrisburg Inspiring Connections Outdoors as part of last year’s free promotional video contest.

Last year, we opened submissions to partner with a local nonprofit or charity for a free promotional video. HICO was chosen out of nearly 30 entries.

“Many nonprofits simply do not have a budget to produce a high-quality video, a product that can be incredibly valuable in helping them reach their goals,” said Nate Kresge, GK Visual Co-Owner and Executive Producer.

Together, we worked to develop a plan for video that would assist HICO with its greatest needs, including fundraising and attracting volunteers for the program.

The final product is a video the group plans to use on its website, social media, as well as through a campaign dedicated to outreach and fundraising, said Michael Horgan, HICO volunteer.

“GK Visual told our story in a way that inspires and motivates,” said Horgan. “The visuals are stunning and full of motion and wonderment. The entire team is such a professional and fun group to work with. I am sure we will be able to obtain our goals as we use this very important tool to tell our story to others.”

We are now accepting entries for 2017.

About Harrisburg Inspiring Connections Outdoors

Harrisburg Inspiring Connections Outdoors (HICO) was formed in 1996 by a group of five Sierra Club Governor Pinchot Group members who wanted to share their love of nature and the outdoors with youth. HICO leaders have enabled hundreds of urban youth to experience the beauty and wildness of Pennsylvania.

In 2016, HICO certified leaders partner with Harrisburg School District’s Math Science Academy to lead Middle School participants on day hikes and weekend outings.
